Thought Process:
Where should I put the most effort in? Those are usually things that I think about when I start drawing. Usually for portraits, that ends up being the eyes. I spent quite a bit of time on the eyes here, making sure they look right from the angle of the face, whilst adding depth and making sure that these eyes actually looked like they recessed into the skull instead of just some eyes that were plopped on to a surface. I still struggle with ears and the values that should be placed to add depth without it look like some sort of weird seashell on someone’s cranium. Hopefully it’ll come with time.
